BMW i3 made an appearance. it's crazy how much this production car looks like a concept car, both from the exterior and interior (have you seen that crazy piece of curved wood on the passenger side of the dash?)

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

come on in...

Kinja'd!!!

the owner was a super nice guy and let me pick his brain about owning this car and the other cars in his collection. he offered to open the boot and bonnet to show me the goodies inside. of course, i said 'yes':

Kinja'd!!!

he also brought this gorgeous Iso Gifo:

Jay was presented with this picture of a fighter jet and the 2014 Corvette Stingray autographed by members of the Corvette design team...

I know that I may lose my Jalop card for asking, but what car is this?

It kind of looks like a DeTomaso Pantera, but the badge looks like Lamborghini. I must know... for science

i can't resist... a few more not-quite-ready-for-primetime odds and ends:

Kinja'd!!!

^Iso Grifo interior

^1965 Aston Martin Short Chassis Volante interior

tire-mounted side mirrors:

LP 400 interior:

i really, REALLY dug the Mangusta. and i really dig this pic of the engine bay. i love the way the cold mechanical array contrasts with the warm, inviting glow of the interior as seen through the rear glass:

Kinja'd!!!

...speaking of the warm inviting glow of the interior, this was Bill's view in "Kill Bill" (apologies for the blurriness):

Kinja'd!!!

Bugatti Type 64 interior:

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

that's all, i think i have it out of my system now...

it's understandable that you're not familiar, you don't see too many Lamborghini Jalpa examples out in the wild... or anywhere. mostly because they're relatively unpopular due to the polarizing styling and their lack of a V12 engine (these guys have a V8). these were like a "budget" Countach, though i'm sure they were still out of reach for most people. i would put this into the same category as the Ferrari Mondial in terms of dormant appreciation...

you got it. it is an interesting beast. kinda looks like a Stormtrooper in white. i'm not a big fan of the wheels but they are what they are and I would not change them if I owned one. maybe...

and, discovering new cars is part of being a Jalop. It's fun to discover something new and read about it and decide that when you hit the lottery you'll buy one, or maybe two...

Never actually tought of the stormtrooper look until now, but what becomes more evident the more I look at pictures is how much it resembles a watered down Countach
